Social Welfare
Many people around the world live without access to basic necessities. Extending help to those in need is a virtue blessed by the Almighty. Offering even a small contribution today serves as an investment for the life hereafter and brings the reward of supporting others in this life as well. However, it is essential that help reaches the right individuals. Jamia Akkalkuwa plays a crucial role in connecting donors with the needy and helpless, ensuring that their contributions make a meaningful impact.

Vocational education is essential for the development of skilled manpower in India, as it enhances employment opportunities and improves quality of life. According to workforce data, 90% of India’s labour force works in skill-based jobs, yet over 90% lack formal vocational education or training. To address this gap, Jamia offers a range of vocational training programs both on campus and in rural outreach centres, providing courses in optical care, bookbinding, tailoring, and beautician skills, among others. These programs equip students with practical skills that prepare them for meaningful employment and self-sufficiency.
Worldwide, an estimated 200 million children have lost one or both parents, many of whom come from already disadvantaged backgrounds. The loss of a parent often means reduced access to education, safe shelter, nutritious meals, and the chance for a secure future. This is why the responsibility to support orphans and vulnerable children lies with us all.
Jamia runs a comprehensive sponsorship program that has supported 3,500 orphans, providing them with resources for education and well-being. Additionally, Jamia offers scholarships to meritorious students, particularly those pursuing professional courses, with special consideration for financial need and social background. This program opens doors to higher education for those who otherwise could not afford the costs, helping them pursue their dreams.
